The Emerald Necklace of India
A whole new world of lush greenery, crystal-clear water, a plethora of underwater marine life, absolute tranquillity, mountains and hills are the beautiful islands of Andaman and Nicobar.
But there is another side to this beautiful picture. These islands have a rich history; besides being home for the oldest aborigines in the world, they have also contributed exceptionally to the Indian freedom struggle.
This book is a reflection of the ugly past and the beautiful present. It gives insight into the islands's culture, social life, political status and rich heritage.
